How it works
A traineeship built around experience
Sign up together
We meet you and your trainee, sign the training plan and map the missions to your calendar. Their Learning Coach is the same person for the whole traineeship.
Coach and act
Coaching sessions run fortnightly at first to build momentum, then about every six weeks. Each one sets a weekly action your trainee does in the job.
Build the portfolio
Real artefacts from your workplace go into the trainee’s portfolio on my.learnivation. Evidence builds while the work happens, not on top of it.
Meet and sign off
At the close of each mission we meet with you, review what’s been built and confirm competency. Trainees who finish early, finish early.

Why Learnivation
Every educator is a certified Learning Coach
Our coaches hold their training and assessment credentials and industry experience, and every one of them is also educated in the neuroscience of coaching through our Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning). That is why our programs are built on coaching conversations and real work rather than lectures, and why our completion rates hold up: 22 of the 23 women who started our HERpreneurs business program finished it.
Learnivation Pty Ltd is a registered training organisation (RTO 45570) based on the Sunshine Coast, delivering across Australia, with regional and remote employers welcome.
Questions employers ask
The practical bits
Does my business have to be in a particular State?
No. The coached model runs anywhere in Australia. Coaching happens in person where we have a coach in your region and over Zoom otherwise, with at least one employer meet in person. Funding depends on your State or Territory, and we confirm what applies before you sign.
How much of my trainee’s time does it take?
About a day a week of supervised work in the role that applies the units, plus a weekly action of a few hours, both agreed in the training plan. The coaching sessions themselves are short and scheduled around your roster.
What do I have to do as the employer?
Give your trainee a role that lets them do the work in the program, see their weekly actions happen, and join the employer meets at the close of each mission, where you also complete a short report on what you’ve seen them do.
Can an existing employee do a traineeship?
Often, yes. Eligibility rules differ by jurisdiction and by how long the person has been employed. Tell us who you have in mind and we’ll check.
What if my trainee already has experience?
Recognition of prior learning is offered at enrolment for anything they can already evidence, using the same tools and standards, and the training plan is shortened accordingly.
Is there a minimum number of trainees?
No. One is enough. There is no class to fill, so a trainee can start as soon as their training contract is registered.
