A Dual Pathway into Animal Care & Leadership
This unique program acts as a working ecosystem where learning, responsibility, and contribution intersect. Each week, participants actively lead sessions in our Junior Field Program (for children aged 5+), creating a real environment to master facilitation and mentoring.
What you will actively do:
- Work directly with animals in structured behavioral environments.
- Design and deliver outdoor ag experiences for kids.
- Guide and peer-mentor others within the learning phases.
- Drive a live community initiative on the Sunshine Coast, Noosa or Gympie hinterland.
A Structured Pathway Through Real Roles
Grow your capabilities sequentially as you step into defined, hands-on operational leadership roles.
Phase A: Foundations Role: Animal Health Coordinator
Animal care, health, and wellbeing. Master the foundations of animal husbandry, behavioral health, and habitat maintenance.
Phase B: Instruction Role: Assistant Facilitator
Educational design and practical teaching. Learn educational design, teaching structures, and how to safely guide children around livestock.
Phase C: Leadership Role: Learning Coordinator & Team Leader
Group facilitation and team coordination. Coordinate logistics, run team sessions, and implement strategic leadership techniques.
Phase D: Governance Role: Program Leader & Trainer
Program management, mentoring, and compliance. Oversee program health, mentor junior cohorts, and handle compliance and risk management.

Dual Nationally Recognised Qualifications
These qualifications aren’t earned by sitting in a lecture hall. They are achieved through a structured process of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and strategic gap training mapped directly to your 24 months of on-site program delivery and leadership roles.
ACM40321 Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour & Training
Reflects capability in behavioral assessment, safe livestock handling, conditioning, positive reinforcement strategies, and animal welfare compliance.
BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership & Management
Reflects capability in team coordination, operational project planning, workplace communication, continuous improvement, and regional program governance.
Practical Work Experience
Invaluable direct workplace hours coordinating educational programs, managing animals, and leading peers.
A Professional Portfolio
Comprehensive evidence of behavior charts, lesson plans, group facilitations, and audits to show future employers.
